  • All-Inclusive River Cruising

Uncover chocolate box towns, imposing castles and valleys resplendent with natural beauty during your cruise down the River Danube.

You’ll begin with three nights in Prague, a stone’s throw from the city’s historical delights. Cross the charming Charles Bridge and glance down into swan-filled Vltava River, or wander around the Old Town Square, home to soaring spires, ancient chapels and cosy cafés. Pass by Baroque buildings and take a seat in a rickety pub, serving what is regularly heralded as the best beer in the world. Visit the city’s hilltop castle, explore numerous galleries and marvel at the architectural beauty found decorating the streets.

Having explored this delightful city, you’ll embark A-ROSA Donna in Passau for your seven night all-inclusive river cruise. On board you’ll find spacious cabins, a spa, a whirlpool on the deck, along with indoor and outdoor restaurant areas; ensuring an elegant excursion down the Danube.

First you’ll meet Vienna, Austria’s capital, holding grand museums, cobbled lanes and palaces with beautifully tended gardens. Stroll down gothic landmarks to the Spanish Riding School, with its famous Lipizzaner horses. You’ll enjoy an overnight stay here, before heading to Esztergom, one of Hungary’s oldest cities. Wander past the Basilica’s imposing columns and domed roofs, or take a stroll up to St Tamás Hill for beautiful views. Next is Budapest for another overnight stay. Discover art nouveau architecture, where streets wear their history – both old and more recent – including memorials such as the poignant Shoes on the Danube.

In the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, you’ll find stunning fairytale castles with fascinating panoramic views across the river; visit the Devin Castle ruins, standing on a high cliff, looped with walking trails. The glorious Wachau Valley greets you next, with slopes lined with vineyards and apricot orchards, where rugged cliffs hold looming towers, tiny villages and a mysterious air. Sailing to the small town of Melk, you’ll find small gardens wrapped around colourful structures, including Stift Melk, a Benedictine monastery perched high up on a hill.

Your river cruise ends when you see Passau come into view once more, where you’ll disembark and fly home, filled with fond memories from your European escape.
