    Embark your ship ms Kong Harald which has its own Expedition Team on board so you can learn more about the nature, culture and phenomena you’ll encounter on your adventure. You’ll sail north from Bergen along the Hjeltefjord, following the same route as the Vikings. After enjoying a delicious buffet dinner, spend the rest of the evening relaxing as you admire the spectacular landscapes, either from the deck or the panorama lounges.

    Bergen - Embark ms Kong Harald

    Embark your ship ms Kong Harald which has its own Expedition Team on board so you can learn more about the nature, culture and phenomena you’ll encounter on your adventure. You’ll sail north from Bergen along the Hjeltefjord, following the same route as the Vikings. After enjoying a delicious buffet dinner, spend the rest of the evening relaxing as you admire the spectacular landscapes, either from the deck or the panorama lounges.

    As you head north, you’ll call at Ålesund, renowned for its beautiful art nouveau architecture.     Stokmarknes - Skjervøy

    Among your stops today is the Capital of the Arctic, Tromsø. You’ll have some time to discover the largest city in Northern Norway, packed with culture, history and a vitality that surprises many visitors. This is the perfect place to enjoy an Arctic adventure with activities including skiing, fishing, kayaking, dog sledding and whale safaris. You’ll also have a great chance of seeing the Northern Lights here.

    Øksfjord - Berlevåg
    Honningsvåg is the gateway to the spectacular North Cape and you can take an excursion to the North Cape plateau where only the Svalbard Islands separate you from the North Pole. With clean, crisp air and views that extend to where the sea meets the horizon, the North Cape feels like the end of the world. You could also take a snowmobile trip through mesmerising scenery.

    The wintry landscape in Kirkenes is perfect for snowmobile and dog sledding adventures, and you can even visit the nearby fantastic snow hotel. Here you are just a few miles from the Russian border so unsurprisingly there’s a strong Russian influence and you’ll notice signs in both Russian and Norwegian. This is the turning point in your cruise and you’ll now start your return journey back to Bergen.

    Båtsfjord - Kirkenes - Berlevåg

    The wintry landscape in Kirkenes is perfect for snowmobile and dog sledding adventures, and you can even visit the nearby fantastic snow hotel. Here you are just a few miles from the Russian border so unsurprisingly there’s a strong Russian influence and you’ll notice signs in both Russian and Norwegian. This is the turning point in your cruise and you’ll now start your return journey back to Bergen.

And see the UNESCO-listed Meridian Column that commemorates the first precise geographic measurement of the globe.

Named after Norway's reigning monarch, a seasoned sailor, MS Kong Harald was refurbished in 2016 and now features a modern, Arctic-inspired interior. On board are three different restaurants, the Multe bakery and ice cream bar, a sauna and fitness room. Out on deck you can enjoy the view from one of the two Jacuzzis. There is a comfortable bar on board as well as a sun deck, observation saloon and panorama lounge, all of which provide splendid views of spectacular coastal scenery.
